amendum.........I just noticed that the quote is from Nietzsche, who helped coined the term and realm of philosophy known as "IRRATIONALISM"........the irony............and YES............my first go round with college was as a philosophy student, and YES.....I am a nerd..........hahahahahahha

he had a lot of fantastic, insightful and to my mind, incredibly honest things to say about society and the human mind..........the only problem I have with him is how easily he is misinterpreted..........he, as well as a few other academics, actually helped to justify the tyranny that was to become the Third Reich.............just goes to show, that the wrong interpretation of philosophical works can lead to horrible acts........but the same can be said of the bible, the koran, the torah.......people twist something good into something evil more often than the opposite.......humans tend to historically dissapoint rather than reaffirm............XD

.. he had his special way of criticizing society and many of its intituciones ... he was very anti-everything and against everything ... and misunderstood by many ..... much of the society he criticized.... .. are still things that are very similar to his time and we criticize now... if it's a shame that we take as the great thoughts of him to use them against ourselves ..... that is our humanity and its destructive and violent side....

there is reason in love, though reason tends to be the opposite of emotion............I find reason, though one of my most beloved friends, is the enemy of emotion, causing many of our internal conflicts.......sometimes the heart is much more wise than reason and at other times, the reverse is true.

Happy Valentines to YOU, and may you receive all you wish for this day........from a kindred spirit! :)

agree, sometimes the heart is more wise...but when you follow what your heart tells you sometimes end up broken but worth it ... the emotion of love is unique and should always guide us but I think we think too much...

Thank you...best wishes to you too! ...I can't find the m&m's emo so I give an orange hahaha :orange:

woo hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!......Vitamin C!!!!!!!.......and there is no easy answer to the mind vs. heart question........it comes down to the particular moment and the particular measure of ones own needs and station on the life "learning curve".........we are all, truly unique......

I think the best thing to learn is to not internalize all of the world's garbage.......not so easy to do for us artistic empaths.....ahhahahaa

you write with wisdom...

not easy for artist...not easy at all... those who love art or try to do like us... I think we have an extra sensitivity ... sometimes drawing a flower or something and I end up crying and believe me at that time are not the diabolical female hormones hahaha ... is something else... extreme sensitivity I guess...:)

hahahaahaha........I think the trait tends to be attributed to females and artists which would be "empathy" ......might I add "falsely" attributed.....( especially in a mainly patriarchal and ever growing world capitalist society/societies).......the ability to try to relate to someone else from "their" POV as opposed to our own..............for me, it is an act of humility, as all TRUE learning and wisdom comes from............the ability to see the veiled truth and veiled lies............WOW......I could write about this for HOURS......but have the feeling that you know what I am typing about......hahahaha
